**JOB SUMMARY**
Takes day-to-day direction from assigned Scrum Master/Technical Architect to lead technical workgroups and/or functions as a technical expert. Resolves and makes decisions on more complex, non-routine service requests and projects with limited to moderate risk. Is a key contributor to the success of meeting deliverables for strategic initiatives on time, on budget, and with near-zero defects. Performs research, analysis, design, creation and implementation of applications to meet current and future user requirements. Defines and creates the next generation of solutions to drive Marriott technical vision. Monitors multiple projects by Service Provider to successful completion, maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints. Creates solutions that serve our business, leveraging current and leading edge technologies in an innovative and impactful manner.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
**Required:**
+ Minimum 5+ years of experience in mainframe development using IBM TPF and TPF tools such as VPARS
+ Minimum 5+ years experience with TPF Assembler, C/C++ 5+ years experience using messaging frameworks such as SOAP, REST, TCPIP, MATIP, BATAP, EDIFACT, MQ, or Kafka Framework.
+ 5+ years working in both Waterfall and Agile development environments
+ Strong working experience in TPFDF.
+ Strong understanding of XML and development of message specifications
+ Experience with Reservations applications or Central Reservation Systems (CRS)
+ Exposure to Java/J2EE/JSON
+ 2+ years experience working on reservations systems or applications
+ 2+ years working with Jira and Confluence
+ MS Office proficiency, including MS Teams and Sharepoint
+ Strong technical and personal collaboration skills
+ Proven teammate and able to provide technical guidance to junior level engineers
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Operating Systems / Mainframe experience: IBM S/390, zOS, TPF, zTPF, TSO/ISPF, VM/CMS/MVS
+ B.Sc. Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Information Systems or equivalent experience
**Preferred:**
+ Data Transformation of data using XML and JSON, fixed file format including use of Mapforce for XSLT.
+ Ability to identify performance issues and perform the fixes using IBM debugging and monitoring tools
+ Experience with SQL using Couchbase, DB2
+ 5+ years developing technical specifications, technical design documentation, systems architecture diagrams
+ 5+ years working on Hospitality software development projects
+ Able to present clear, logical, concise technical presentations using MS PowerPoint / Visio or other tools
+ Knowledge of AWS environment configuration, including Snowflake, OSE, EKS, Elastic Beanstalk
+ Knowledge of automated testing tools such as HP UFT and is familiar with integration testing concepts
+ Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
+ Experience working in an Agile environment as a Technical Lead on a Development team

**California Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
**Colorado Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $190,154.00 annually.
**Hawaii Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $116,205.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
**New York Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
**Washington Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
